01 · OVERVIEWWhat is Warm GPU

A grey cat found asleep on a GPU tray in a data center. The tray is warm, the cat is heavy, the fans are blocked and the temperature has been rising since the night shift started. Every rack they check has one.

The site is the camera feed from rack 07 with the monitoring panel on top. Photoreal, cold blue aisle, warm orange glow, one cat.

Views: AISLE, THERMAL and TECHNICIAN in the bottom left switch the camera. 1 2 3 on the keyboard do the same

Temperature: The panel on the right climbs on its own, throttles, and drops when the cat moves. It is a loop, so is the cat

Wake the cat: The button in the bottom right. It has never worked, it reports what happened instead

Sound: Quiet until you tap. Your first click anywhere starts a soft ambient loop

Incident log: Four tickets below the camera, click one to open it big, ESC to close
